The St Helens Island Tour, although not technically part of The Bay of Fires does not disappoint. This tour heads south from Binalong Bay via Elephant Rock, Dora Point and past the entrance to Georges Bay. Passengers are treated to the iconic lichen covered rocks, they will pass the vast rolling sands of Peron Dunes as we head towards St Helens Island, here we meet a resident fur seal colony on the southern end of the Island.
St Helens Island is home to many species of bird life including Little Penguins, Short-tailed Shearwaters, Petrels, Pacific and Silver Gulls and can be a photographers playground at the right time of year. This tour also incorporates an offshore experience before returning to Binalong Bay, all within a short 1.5 hour timeframe.
